New study: Zika causes deafness

Researchers in Brazil found that Zika causes deafness. Seventy babies whose mothers proved to have Zika infections founded nearly 6 percent had problem on hearing, the virus can cause when women are infected at pregnancy time.

The study confirmed less rigorous reports of deafness among infants born to

mothers with Zika. Published in US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's on death and disease.

The study researchers has determined records from 70 infants with microcephaly whose mothers had laboratory confirmed Zika infections during pregnancy and found nearly 6 percent had loss without any other plausible cause.
