Taiwan over 100,000 workers protest pension reform
Over 100,000 people in Taiwan took to the street in Taipei on Saturday to protest over planned pension reform.
Taiwan is now on struggling pension system which seems the latest challenge to president Tsai Ing-wen's government since he took the office.
Government warned that if the system will not overhauled that various pension funds are estimated to go bankrupt from as early as 2020.
Taipei police estimated about 117,000 protesters took to the street.
The Rally organizer Peng Ju-yu said "we accused of stealing and robing the country. Our dignity is hurt," public sector employees do not oppose the reforms but they are angry for being unfairly blamed for bankrupting the pension system.
