US to investigate safety into 642,000 Ford vehicles

About 642,000 Ford sport utility vehicles and cars to be investigated over door latch warning light and steering issues, said US auto safety regulators.

The US second largest automaker said last month it was reducing its adjusted full year pre-tax profits forecast to US$10.2billion from at least US$10.8 billion.

The US second automaker has recalled nearly 4million vehicles for door lath issues in six separate recalls since 2014 and 2.4million vehicles two months ago.
