Maria Sharapova ban reduced to 15 months
The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) sat on verdict of Maria Sharapova today on her appeal on ban of two years, and it has now reduce the Sharapova's ban to 15 months.
The ban came after Sharapova appointed by the International Tennis Federation for testing positive for meldonium.
Sharapova said "I've gone from one of the toughest days of my career last March, when I leaerned about my suspension, to now, one of my happiest days as I found I can return to tennis in ASpril."
CAS in verdict found that Sharapova committed an ant-doping rules violation, for which a sanction o 15 months is appropriate.
