South Africa down to 6 place on good governance rank
South Africa was previous ranked number three in the continent's good governance index report in 2006.
But the Mo Ibrahim Foundation released new report on Monday 4.October shows that South Africa now dropped up to number six 2016.
The countries which lead on top of other 54 countries in the continent are Mauritius, Botswana, Cap Verde, Seychelles and Namibia.
The Foundation found that in the past ten years African countries had improved on three of these pillars but have, however, shown a decline in the safety and rule of law. The incident of conflict have a direct impact on a countries development economically and beyond.
